John
Lane's 262Ti
Location:
Washington state
Status:
Active (?)
Class: Group
5
Brief
History: This
thing is notorious as John Lane's fire-breathing monster. John Vanlandingham
had somethig to do with it -- more to come. It has a crazy 6-cylinder
PRV motor with a turbo, supposedly a Jericho dogbox, and a Ford
9" rear end, putting out a rumored 500 bhp! The license plate
says it all.

Kevin
Hawkinson's 242Ti
Build
Page Diary
Location:
Washington state
Status:
Build
Class: Group
5
Brief
History: Under the tutelage of John Vanlandingham, this turbocharged
2.3 liter car sports a BW T-5 transmission and a lot of innovative
adaptations of the concepts that Ford published in their Escort
prep manual.
The
front coilover strut assemblies of this car were actually removed
and shipped to Los Angeles so that RallyBrick could make Rim of
the World!

Thiel's
(?) 242
Location:
Possibly
in New York State
Status:
Inactive
(Was for sale in 2002 -- unknown current whereabouts)
Class: Group
A (Rally)
Brief
History: Rumor is that it was built and run by the Volvo North
America Parts Manager. If this is the same Thiel, the family name
was attached to a 142 back in the 70's. Needs a bit more research.

Sorry for the bad resolution -- this is what I got.

Carl
Jardevall's 740Ti
TeamJardevall.com
(includes pictures of the current Evo)
Location:
Unknown
Status:
Unknown
Class: Group
5
Brief
History: Carl was a crowd favorite in the turbocharged yellow
school bus. He eventually sold his soul and moved into an AWD Mitsubishi
Evo. The 740 was sold to Jay Streets who put in a crazy engine.
The poor SF-Pyora M45 dogbox couldn't keep up and the car continued
to break down. Don't know where it is now, but there are a ton of
pictures on Carl's site.
