The car was
destined for 2WD Open Class (aka. Group 2). With significantly more
freedom for modifications, the car got a gnarly B23 race motor.
The
front end is rebuilt with lighter, tubular steel, sub framing was
removed whenever possible for weight savings...
And
the stock interior was removed to make way for a rally interior with
custom bulkheads and stuff.
Speaking
of bulky heads, check it out -- Bill with lots of hair!
The
car was now #11 and sported a new paint scheme -- rainbow stripes.
(This show shows it before it got fog lamps -- definitely the Gorman
motel in the back).
Tarmac
with fog lamps and Compomotive rims. Nice antenna on the roof, too.
Yeehah
-- dusty rooster tail action.
Real
rally cars press on (funny that the headlamps are NOT missing from
the co-driver's side!)
